What happens in a transport to the hospital?

During the course of labor if it becomes necessary to transport, I will discuss it with the laboring mother and father to explain the need for the transport. I will call ahead to the hospital and inform them of the situation. This gives the hospital time to get prepared for our arrival. When we arrive, I give a report and the hospital will get a copy of your medical chart. I stay with you in the hospital until the baby is delivered and all is well. I will continue care in the post partum as well.

Do you take insurance?

If your policy will pay for out-of- hospital birth, I have an excellent insurance biller who will file a claim with your insurance.

What about the mess?

This is a common question from dads, mainly. We have ways to keep things clean and we clean up after the birth. When I leave, the only sign of a birth is that there is a baby in the house.
